Since 1986, Linder Associates has helped client companies manage their message, as well as the sales processes and product or service delivery. We create and execute marketing strategy through consulting, coaching, training and tools.

Our clients are in the pharmaceutical, communications, banking, insurance and financial services. We work with them to develop strategies for both traditional and nontraditional distribution channels by integrating the best of personal selling techniques with direct response, alternate location and web selling models.

We recognize that the success of your programs requires a broad vision. So our strategy and implementation follows through with internal marketing (training and development) as well as customer marketing (customer service).

Susan Linder, President (
Susan is a seasoned strategic business planning and marketing consultant with over 25 years' experience. In the course of her career, she has held high level marketing and management positions with bottom line responsibility for product strategy, distribution and marketing communications. As the founder and president of Linder Associates, Susan leads the team in the development of strategy, marketing process assessment and the development of programs and tools to accomplish client marketing goals. She is the creator of several management success tools. Marketing Forensicssm is a methodology to assess customer service, marketing or documentation effectiveness. Market Manageeringsm Help files puts vital marketing and sales process information into an electronic help file right on the desktop. Performance Measurement Manager is a marketing decision support tool which allows management to build its own measurement and monitoring program. Susan has been a guest lecturer in marketing at several universities and has been an invited speaker at professional development seminars.

Simona Bares, Account Management (
Simona is a multilingual, multinational communications professional with excellent organizational skills. She came to Linder Associates two years ago after 14 years in the Film and Fashion Photography industry as a Production Manager with prior experience in the consulting field in Telecommunications and Intercultural Communications.  Simona’s main responsibility is to keep clients informed, their engagements on track, and every detail nailed down until the successful completion of the projects we handle.

Walter Snitkin, Editorial Director (
For the past 25 years, Walter Snitkin has been the copy creative support for various marketing, sales and corporate communications functions in the information, financial services and other industries. As Linder Associates’ senior writer, he is involved in virtually all aspects of creative development for our B2B sales and training materials. Walter’s strength is his ability to craft channel-specific communications… solutions which promote the customer benefit in order to answer the question: “What’s in it for me?”Walter has participated in introductions of numerous flagship products and systems, and has developed both proprietary and in-house training programs.

Les Wolff, Marketing and Promotional Strategist (
Les is an experienced creative promotion and marketing professional with 40 plus years of experience and expertise are in the areas of sales, marketing, advertising, public relations, training, promotion and new business development. Les is the founder of the Library Marketing Network, which brings marketing expertise to generate traffic and private donations to local and regional libraries. He has lectured throughout the USA, Canada and Europe on sales, marketing and promotion on the behalf of Advertising Age Magazine, for whom he was a columnist, the American Management Association and the Promotional Products Association, among others. He is also the marketing columnist for the promotional products trade publication, COUNSELOR Magazine.

Big Black Dog Media Art and Production (
Big Black Dog Media, our long-time affiliate, provides creative direction and a host of multi-media and production services for Linder Associates. These include the creation and implementation of our broad range of institutional sales materials, design and packaging of our direct marketing, development of sales promotion materials and catalogs. BBDM is staffed by senior, award-winning creative executives who have marketing, promotion, design and production experience to compliment Linder Associates’ own. BBDM has been responsible for developing numerous physical and intellectual products including Spending Moneysm, a patented, refillable, stored-value spending card.

John Bowen, Senior Consultant (
John is one of the few national consultants working across the disciplines of marketing communications, e-commerce and environmental branding.  His 25-year career includes managing national and global communications programs for clients of integrated advertising agencies, brand deployment, customer insight research, and processes innovation.  He has been a partner in one of the world's largest professional services firms, which adopted his customer loyalty framework (the Brand Experience Journeysm) that is still in used today.  Working with major corporations, he has established a record of increasing sales, reducing marketing costs and building brand equity.  John is a frequent speaker on marketing trends (AFIRE conference, Amsterdam/Frankfurt), writes for BrandWeek and Brand Marketing magazines, and created in 1998 the inaugural Branded Environments conference, which is now an annual event.

Rich White, Senior Writer (
Rich is a financial writer and editor with 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.  His areas of special interest include retirement planning and retirement plans, annuities, equities, fixed income securities, mutual funds, insurance products, Social Security, financial analysis and illustrations, selling and prospecting skills and income taxes.  He is the author or co-author of a number of financial programs including:  basic securities sales development programs, product manuals and sales tracks, sales training, retail guides, seminar selling packages and newsletters.  Rich has written the training courses used by the Canadian Association of Independent Financial Advisors (CAIFA) on financial planning, mutual funds and investment markets.  He also has worked as editor of professional newsletters published by the former Investors Press: 401(k) ALERT and Variable Products ALERT.  From 1977 to 1981, he worked as the first full-time Editor-in-Chief of Financial Planning magazine, the monthly trade journal then owned by the International Association of Financial Planning (IAFP).  He is the author of two books written for financial advisors:  12 Steps to Your Personal Success in 401(k)s and Small Business Retirement Plans and How to find and Keep High Net Worth Clients.  Both books were published in 2001.
